The gardens of Brocklesby Estates extend over an area of around 50 acres of private land. The many different areas include woodland, parkland, lawned areas and fine lawns, flower gardens, a lake, a churchyard and a large, walled, kitchen garden with 5000 sq ft of glasshouses.
The gardens are managed and maintained by a team of four full-time gardeners. We have a flock of 100 Black Rock chickens. These are managed according to the rules of the Soil Association which enables us to market and sell the eggs as free-range, organic eggs. We also have a colony of honey bees that reside in the garden.
The main purpose of the walled, kitchen garden is to provide Brocklesby Hall and The New Inn, Great Limber with fresh seasonal produce i.e. fruit, vegetables, eggs and honey.
