Brocklesby Hunt Point to Point, Saturday 18th February 2012.
We are delighted to hold the annual Brocklesby Hunt Point to Point here on the Estate's racecourse, Saturday 18th, February 2012.
The racecourse is within Brocklesby Park, just off the A18 near Humberside Airport. The course is set in beautiful parkland and is an ideal day out for all the family. Races have been run here since 1958.
The first of 8 races will be at 12.30pm and the last race, 4pm. There will be bookmakers, a licensed bar, refreshments and a good selection of trade stands.
All races are three mile steeplechases and include eighteen fences; one fence being an open ditch which is jumped twice. The course was in excellent condition last year and the ground was soft .
Prices: £10 per person including a race card.) Children under 16 free. 134 entries were received in 2011.

In 2011, Robinson’s Interiors kindly sponsored the first race; the Member’s race for the Countess Of Yarborough Challenge Cup. The second race was the Clark Weightman Confined Hunts race and Singleton Birch from Melton Ross sponsored the Men’s Open race. Other races included the Mitsubishi Restricted race and The DDM Agriculture PPA PPORA Club Mare’s Maiden race. This race was a qualifier for the PPA PPORA Club Members Mares Maiden Series.
The final Maiden race was divided into Division 1, sponsored by St Hugh’s Hospital and Division 2, sponsored by Paul Wiseman Electrical Contractors Ltd. There was a new trophy; the Lilian Pickering Perpetual Challenge Trophy which was presented to the Leading Rider at the two meetings at Brocklesby Park in 2011.
